As weird as it may sound, but IKEA does not provide the direct contact number(s) to their stores. IKEA Merriam being a new store, is not yet listed on their main customer care IVR. So there is absolutely no way for the consumers to reach anyone at the IKEA Merriam store.
I went through IKEA US Facebook page and got my issue resolved, but wanted to save others in my situation the hassle. Here is the direct number to the store...

After waiting online for 25 minutes, I got annoyed and googled Ikea Merriam. After I found this post I spoke to a human and had my answer in under 5 min. Thank you!!

ReplyDeleteThank you for providing their number. We had travelled to the Merriam,KS store and had paid the $40 for the employees design and inventory pick our items. Our sales person plus the person that accepted our near five thousand dollar order told us if something was damaged or missing to call the store and they would ship the item(S) immediately. They loaded our rental moving truck and off we travelled home 250 miles away. We started putting one closest together and found we were given 5 wrong shelves. We used the toll free number found in the internet. Good luck with speaking to customer service. We were told we'd have to drive back to Kansas to exchange the shelves. They were not changing their policy no matter what the store told us. Luckily your post saved the day! We called the store...and they are sending the replacement shelves. Blessings to you!

ReplyDeleteAfter waiting on the phone like 30 minutes. My husband is in the store with 2 small children. I called 5 numbers and my husband tried to get help in store for 30 minutes. I was calling to get help for him in store. We have the item number and can't find the item anywhere. This phone number saved us.

ReplyDeleteHey guys, there's a reason they don't post the number. The store is not staffed to be a call center. If you call, you will have to wait until a manager is not with a customer which never seems to happen. If you demand to speak to a person, they have every right to redirect you to the call center.

Called the generic customer service number for two days straight, each time I received the 'we have a higher than normal contact rate, sorry for the inconvenience' before the line hangs up. So thankful I found this post, issue was resolved in under a minute!

Bless you for this number! I saw a sofa here my husband and I really liked due to a store clerk steering us toward one with a soft fabric. Back at home I saw two colors that were close and wanted to talk to the clerk we had met earlier to determine which one it was. We reached her and now know what we were looking for! Thanks, again!
